It started with a sip

Fermenteria was founded by Jade Chang, who first tasted water kefir at an actual fermenteria while living as an expat in Nicaragua. Bright, bubbly, and packed with probiotics—it was nothing like she expected from a fermented drink. It tasted more like sparkling water with benefits. One sip, and she was hooked.

Fermentation mission

Back home, that one sip turned into a mission. Jade and her small but mighty team spent the next two years experimenting, fermenting, and fine-tuning a recipe that felt as good as it tasted. After countless fizz explosions and flavor tests, Fermenteria was born.  We now have a very cool kefir brewery (a fermenteria) and an in-house laboratory where we grow, nourish and love on all of our kefir cultures to make sure they arrive in your bellow fully alive and ready to support your gut!
