WHAT IS WATER KEFIR?

Water Kefir is a fermented, naturally carbonated, probiotic beverage made with kefir grains called tibicos (probiotics), sugar, water & yeast. Herbs, botanicals, and fruit essences are use to create our lightly flavored sparkling creations!

HOW IS THE ALCOHOL CREATED?

The alcohol is created from specialty yeast pitched after the traditional first fermentation. Like fine wine-natural yeast, extra time and love naturally create a higher alcohol content.

IS IT NATURAL?

Yes! The entire fermentation process is 100% natural, utilizing traditional fermentation methods. We use all of the freshest ingredients, organic where we can, to create an intentionally sourced, naturally made drink!

IS IT HEALTHY?

Known as an ancient longevity elixir, it most definitely is! Our water Kefir beverages contain 100 calories per can, 0 sugar and no artificial sweeteners, 100% naturally occurring enzymes, probiotics, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that help replenish our gut’s biome, which aids in metabolism and strengthens our immune system. Pay attention and you’ll likely notice less of a hangover!

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE SUGAR?

Sugar is the healthiest form of food for probiotics, but we don’t stop the fermentation until the kefir has gobbled it all up! The sugar is digested, broken down, and used by the yeast and probiotics to produce carbon dioxide (the fizz you love!), alcohol, and more probiotics & vitamins!

Our Water Kefir is handmade, batch by batch, by our incredible team of magical souls here in our beautiful brewery on the eastside of downtown San Antonio!
